TUSCALOOSA, Alabama USA - The Tuscaloosa police chief Steven Anderson told The Associated Press that a police officer on Wednesday night stopped a rental car for not having a decal required and asked for his driver license. The man had German identification only, so he was arrested and taken to the police station.
A German manager of Mercedes-Benz was released after being arrested for not carryinga driver’s license under Alabama’s new law aimed at immigrants without legal permission to be in the country, officials said on Friday.
The 46 years executive was charged with violating immigration law for not carrying proper identification, but was released after a colleague brought him his passport, visa and German license .
